Notifications

Notifications let you know what's going on around you. For example, someone assigned you a task, added a comment, sent you an invite to a project or event, shared a file with you, or an integration created a new task.

Bell icon

You'll find your latest notifications under the bell icon in the top bar. Clicking a notification takes you straight to where it happened. At the bottom, there's a View all link.

All notifications

The Notifications page shows your full history. More notifications load automatically as you scroll down. You can filter by:

• status – All, Unread, or Read,
• type – Tasks, Events (including reminders), Projects, or Other,
• project,
• date From and To.

Use the Mark all as read button to mark everything as read at once.

Bulk editing

Click Select and choose the notifications you want to work with. A bar appears at the bottom with Mark as read, Mark as unread, and Delete buttons, which apply to everything you've selected.

Select all picks every notification that's currently loaded. To exit selection mode, click Close or press Esc.

Email notifications

Besides the bell icon, we also send you emails. You can choose which ones you want to receive in Settings → Notifications. Changes save instantly.

The Email notifications toggle at the top turns all of them on or off at once. Below it, you can switch individual groups on or off:

• Tasks – someone assigned you a task or added a comment on a task you're working on. These come as a summary, at most once every 10 minutes.
• Chat – a summary of unread messages, at most once every 30 minutes.
• Projects – a project invitation.
• Calendar – a new event, invitation, time change, or cancelled event.
• Event reminders – a heads-up before an event starts. For this group, you can choose whether you want a reminder 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day in advance.
• Cloud – someone shared a file or folder with you.
• Quotes – a client approved or rejected a quote right in frego.
• Vault – a project member has set up a vault.
• Trial – a reminder a few days before your free PRO trial ends.

If you turn off emails, you'll still get notifications in the bell icon. If you turn the main toggle back on later, your previous group settings will be restored exactly as they were.

Security and contractual emails are always sent – things like password resets, logins from a new device, password or email changes, orders, and subscriptions. Find out more in Where your data lives.

Tip

If there's a notification you want to come back to later, mark it as unread. That way it won't get lost among the others and will serve as a reminder.
