An integration is an address (webhook URL) that another system can send a request to. frego will use it to create a task in your project. It's handy for things like bug reports from your website, a client form, or errors from Sentry.
Setting up a new integration
- In your project, open Integrations in the menu.
- Click Add integration and give it a name.
- Choose the Type: Generic or Sentry.
- Set up what the tasks should look like: name, priority, tag, and which column they should land in.
- Copy the Webhook URL and paste it into the other system.
You can have several integrations in one project, each with its own settings and its own address. If you don't need one right now, just switch it off.
Generic integration
The other system sends a POST request with a JSON body to the address. The only required field is description. Optionally, it can also send title, priority (high, medium, or low), and tag, which will override your default settings. It can also include an image, which gets added to the task as an attachment.
Plain text works fine in the description field. It can also include simple HTML: paragraphs, lists, links, and images. frego strips out everything else, including scripts.
Sentry
For the Sentry type, frego shows you right in the integration how to connect it in Sentry. It fills in the task's name, description, and priority from the error. If the same error pops up again, it won't create a new task.
Who finds out
When an integration creates a task, all project members get a notification.
FREE or PRO
Integrations are set up by the project owner and are part of PRO. When PRO ends, any integrations you already have will keep creating tasks. However, you won't be able to add new ones or edit existing ones.
Heads upThe integration address works like a password. If it ends up in the wrong hands, click Regenerate token. The old address will stop working, and you'll need to set up the new one in the other system.
