The daily plan is the heart of frego. In the morning you pick what you want to get done today, and throughout the day you just track time and check things off. You get it with every plan, even on FREE.
How to schedule a task
Press C. A window opens with two options:
- New task – write down what needs to be done and pick a client and project. If they don't exist yet, you can create them right here.
- Existing task – pick a task you already have in a project.
Then choose a day. If you don't pick a date (No date), the task goes into the backlog and you can schedule it later.
You can also add a task to your plan from its detail view using Add to daily tasks.
The Today card
At the top of your Overview is the Today card. It shows how many tasks you've finished, and for each task you can:
- hit ▶ to start or stop the timer,
- check it off to mark the task as done.
At the bottom of the card you'll find Worked today and Awaiting invoice – how many hours you haven't invoiced yet. It only shows hours, not money, so you can safely have this card open even on a call with a client.
Daily overview
The Plan your day link on the Today card takes you to the Daily overview tab. There you'll find your whole day: all your tasks, a comparison of planned vs. actual time (Time: Plan vs Reality), and any tasks you didn't get to, which you can move using Move to day. You can also check other days from here.
TipAn event linked to a project shows up in your plan as a task. Read more in Events and calendar.
