Screen sharing mode

You often show frego to clients on calls. That's why it has a mode that hides everything they shouldn't see.

How to turn it on

Click the eye icon in the top bar or press H. The same action turns it off again. A crossed-out eye means amounts are hidden.

What gets hidden

  • Amounts – earnings, rates, invoice totals, and financial overviews get blurred out. The page layout stays the same, you just can't read the numbers.
  • Actual time worked – instead, you'll see billable time. If a time entry doesn't have billable time set, actual time shows up instead. That way the client only sees what you're actually billing them for.

What stays visible

  • A timer that's currently running keeps ticking normally.
  • Exports and reports don't change, you download them exactly as usual.
  • Forms where you're editing something, like when creating an invoice, aren't blurred.

Amounts are hidden right after login

In every new browser session, amounts are hidden automatically. When you close your browser and open it again, you start with amounts hidden. The setting is shared across tabs within the same browser.

This is also why frego doesn't show you finances right away on the first screen after logging in. More in the article Finances and overviews.

Tip

When you hover over a blurred amount, the app reminds you that you can reveal it with the eye icon or the H key.
