Where your data is stored

Data in the EU

All of frego's data is stored in the European Union, in a DigitalOcean data center in Amsterdam. We handle personal data in line with GDPR.

How it's protected

  • All communication between you and frego is encrypted via HTTPS.
  • We don't store account passwords in readable form - they're securely hashed.
  • Files are private. Task and comment attachments, voice notes, chat files, cloud files, and your profile photo are all stored outside the public internet. You can only open them via a temporary link that's only given to people with access to the task or project. The only publicly accessible file is a cloud file you've deliberately made public yourself.
  • We back up data regularly.
  • You and the people you invite to a project have access to your clients, projects, and invoices.

Security emails

We'll send you an email whenever an important change happens on your account. These emails can't be turned off.

  • Sign-in from a new device – when someone logs in from a browser or system you haven't used before. The email includes the device, IP address, and time. The very first sign-in is just remembered, no email is sent for it.
  • Password change – after changing your password in your profile, and after a password reset.
  • Email change – the notification goes to your original address.

If you didn't make the change yourself, change your password right away and write to us at studio@wcr.sk.

Vault

Passwords in the Vault are encrypted end-to-end. They're encrypted right in your browser, so we only ever see the encrypted content. Nobody can open them without your master password or recovery key - not even us. More in the Vault article.

Payments

You enter your card details directly with the Stripe payment gateway, and they never reach us. More in the Payments, invoices and VAT article.

Deleting data

You can delete your account yourself at any time. Your data is permanently erased after 30 days. More in the Deleting your account article.

How we process personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Data you store about your clients and collaborators is covered by the Data Processing Agreement, and cookie usage is governed by our Cookie Policy.
