Invoice from logged hours

You can create an invoice from logged hours in two ways. Both lead to the same form.

From Hours

  1. Open Hours and filter by client.
  2. Select the entries you want to invoice.
  3. Click Create invoice.

Entries that are already on another invoice or written off can't be added to an invoice.

From Invoices

  1. Open Invoices and click Add invoice.
  2. Choose the supplier and the customer.
  3. Under Assigned logged hours, click Insert logged hours and pick the entries. You'll only see ones that haven't been invoiced or written off yet.

Line items

Assigned hours aren't invoice line items yet. Click Prefill items and frego will turn them into items: one for each task and rate, with the number of hours based on billable time and the price based on the project's hourly rate.

You can then edit the items, add more with Add, and reorder them by grabbing the handle on the left and dragging.

Fill in the invoice number, dates, due date, variable symbol, payment method, and PDF language (Slovak or English). Then click Save invoice.

PDF and payments

You can download the PDF from the invoice list. When the client pays, click Mark as paid. If they've only paid part of it, record it using Add payment. The invoice will then show how much is still outstanding.

Hours that are included on an invoice show up in Hours under the Invoiced status.

Heads up

You can't create an invoice without your supplier details filled in. For how to do that, check out the article Billing details.
