Events are meetings, calls, and anything else in your calendar that has a fixed time. You'll find them in the Events section, where you can switch between week and month view.
Creating a new event
Press E or click Create event. Fill in the name, start time and duration, and if you want, also:
- Invited – emails of the people who'll get an invitation. You can see who accepted and who declined.
- Meeting link – add your own or let frego Generate Google Meet. You'll need a connected Google account for that.
- Recurrence – daily, weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly, and until when it should repeat.
When you edit a recurring event, you choose whether the change applies to Just this event, This and following events, or All events.
Events and tracked time
You can link an event to a project using Assign to project. frego will create a task for it and put it in your daily plan for that day. You then track time on it just like on any other task.
This is also a handy way to keep track of routine work. Say you create a project called My Business and a recurring event every Monday at 9:00 called "accounting and mileage reports." On Monday, you assign it to the My Business project, start the timer, and you'll see the hours in your project statistics. This is just one option, though. Events are mainly meant for meetings.
Reminders
Before an event starts, we'll send you a reminder both by email and as a notification. It goes to you if you created the event, and to every invited person with a frego account who hasn't declined the invitation. This applies to every occurrence of a recurring event too.
You can choose when the reminder arrives – 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day in advance – in Settings → Notifications. There you can also turn off email reminders; you'll still get the notification reminder either way.
Google Calendar
With PRO, you can sync your events with Google Calendar. On the Events page, click Google Calendar and allow access. If you don't see the button, first connect your Google account using Connect Google when creating an event.
A connection you've already set up keeps working even after your PRO subscription ends. You can turn it off anytime using the same button.
