Cloud and files

Where your files are

  • Every project has its own Cloud in the project menu. Create folders there with Create folder and upload files with Upload files, or simply drag them in.
  • The project cloud also has the automatic folders Tasks, Specifications and Chat, holding the files you and your team attached to tasks, to the project materials and to the chat.
  • Cloud in the main menu shows all your files plus what others have shared with you.

Call recordings

  • In Cloud, next to Shared with me, you find Call recordings with all your recorded calls, newest first. For each recording you see the date, the length, whether it's sound or video, the size and the linked projects. You can also search by the call's title.
  • There you can play a recording, download it, open the call detail or delete it (Delete video or Delete recording). You can't upload, move, rename or publicly share anything there.
  • A project's cloud shows the pinned Call recordings folder at the top when it holds at least one recording you may see: your recordings of calls linked to the project and the recordings others have shared with you. You can play and download other people's recordings, but you can't delete them, and they don't show you the call's transcript or analysis. Who sees a recording is set on the call with Share recording, more in Calls.
  • Recordings count towards the storage of the call's author, also when they're shared with a project. A public cloud link doesn't include recordings.

How much storage you have

On FREE you have 1 GB, on PRO and PRO + AI 250 GB, the same during the trial. The limit counts the cloud, attachments and voice notes of tasks and packages, files in comments and chat, materials and quotes, call recordings, voice ideas and your profile photo. Invoices you issue don't count.

You can see how much you've used and on what in Settings → Cloud: split into Cloud, Projects and tasks, Calls, Ideas and Other, plus Largest projects and Largest calls.

Whose storage files count towards

  • Files in a project count towards its owner, the person who created the project. That's also true when someone from the team or a client uploaded them.
  • Private materials and private quotes count towards whoever created them. When you make them available to the team, they start counting towards the project owner.
  • Private materials and quotes of someone who is no longer in the project count towards nobody.
  • When you move a task to a project with another owner, its files count towards that owner from then on.
  • Calls, voice ideas and your profile photo count towards you.
  • A deleted project, folder, idea or comment no longer counts towards anybody.

Buying more space

With a paid PRO or PRO + AI, you buy 100 GB for 2 € a month with Add 100 GB in Settings → Cloud, or for 24 € a year with a yearly subscription. You can buy it more than once. When you buy, you confirm your consent to the service starting right away, just like with a subscription. For the rest of the current period we charge the prorated part right away, after that the space is paid together with your subscription. If your bank needs to confirm the payment, a new window opens and the space is added once Stripe confirms it.

Remove 100 GB removes the space at the end of the current period. You can use it until then, and there's no refund for the rest of the period. You can only remove it when your files fit into the smaller limit. When you switch from monthly to yearly billing or back, the extra space moves to the same period. While a plan change is scheduled, you can't buy or remove space.

During the trial you can't buy space, activate PRO first. If you have a special subscription and need more space, write to us at studio@wcr.sk.

When your storage is full

At 80 % and 95 % we send you an e-mail and you see a notice in the app. When your storage is full:

  • new files won't upload and you can't start or upload a new call,
  • you can't move a task with files to a project whose owner has no space,
  • you can't make private materials or a quote available to the team when the project owner has no space.

A call recording that's already running finishes, on FREE with sound only from that point. Nothing is deleted on its own: the files you already have stay and you can download them. You free up space by deleting files or call recordings (or just their video), or you buy more.

When the owner of a project you work in is out of space, your file won't upload and the app tells you the project owner has no space. Let them know so they can free up space or add more.

You can turn off storage e-mails in Settings → Notifications with the Storage alerts switch.

Sharing

Click Share on a file or folder. You have two options:

  • People - add the e-mail of someone who has a frego account. They get a notification and an e-mail and find the file under Shared with me. They can only view and download it.
  • General access - switch from Private to Public link. Anyone can open the link, even without an account. You can set an Expires date for it and turn it off anytime with Revoke link.

When you share a folder, you share everything inside it too.

Who can upload

All members can upload to the project cloud, including those with the Client role. That way a client can send you materials without e-mails and attachments. More about roles in the article Projects and team.

FREE or PRO

The project cloud is part of the PRO of whoever created the project. When PRO ends, the files stay and you can download them, but you can't upload new ones. More in the article When PRO ends.

Tip

Files are stored privately and opened via temporary links. This also applies to the automatic Tasks, Specifications, and Chat folders. A file is only publicly accessible if you create a public link for it yourself.
